The shadow side of this white house and fence made a perfect foil for the oleander blooms caught by sunlight that grazed the shrub. The morning light played against the cooler shadows.

Try as I might, I could not make this image show this painting as it really is. The color combination is unusual and harmonious, not garish. Dashes of color make this work lively and rewarding. It's one that went right from the first to last stroke... something that happens only rarely for any artist!
