"The historic town of St. Paul, Oregon sits on French Prarie south of Portland. The economy is definitely agricultural, as this scene shows. NOTE TO ARTISTS: I often use a "story line" like the line of buildings and trees in this work. Variety and balance are essential and I arrange the other elements in the painting to lead the eye back to this crucial grouping that defines the work.
